A Story About me
Hi, my name is Cath and I have an extreme stamping and papercraft addiction….
I have been stamping for over 10 years now, initially taught to me by my long time friend, Jill, commonly referred to by me as ‘Pom’.
I moved to Bundaberg, Qld, in 2003. There were a couple of craft shops, with a handful of stamps in each. Devastating, considering I was an addict.
I befriended Jacqui, the owner at the time of one of the scrapbooking stores. No stamps, but plenty of papers!! :-) Jacqui kept at me to try out scrapbooking. I refused as I knew how much of a ‘junkie’ I was with my stamping.
Boredom set in one school holidays and guess what? I had a bash at – yes, you guessed it, scrapbooking. I was suckered in! Big time… I was then to be found in Jacqui’s store frequently. I had SO much scrapping to do.
In February 2006, I was once again in Jacqui’s shop :- )) having our usual morning coffee and chat before classes started. A gentleman walked in off the street asking what scrapbooking was all about (yes, we did look at one another with strange expressions on our faces). It turned out this gent manufactured a machine that makes stamps Jacqui passed him over too me as I was the stamping addict! He explained to me how the machine worked and said he was off to the papercraft expo in Brisbane, Qld, the following month. I offered to make him some cards with the finished products. He proceeded to tell me to go to Clipart.com, choose the images I wanted, email him with the item numbers and they’d be ready with in 2 days!!
OMG – I thought to myself – out loud! What a great idea to start doing this at home. Set up a web business, offer custom made stamps where the clients get to choose the image, or even have there own drawings, logos, signatures, etc made into unmounted stamps! I could stay and work at home, be there for the kids and earn extra dollars as well.
A few hours later, I got a phone call from this gent about getting this idea up and going, and here I am still going, offering this unique idea to the nation - & world wide!
So, after searching high and low for a particular image and never being able to find one to suit, I have the solution. I pick the design I want then make the stamp to any size I choose.
So, please browse my site and see if you and I can come up with. Feel free to email me with any questions you have and I’ll reply back promptly.
Happy Stamp Searching!
Regards
Cath
